“(Toma Cuidado Com A) Língua” is the third single of Arthur Martins, which is in final stage of his first EP production. Although the music is not included in setlist of future EP, it is a good portrait of his style: the union between samba-rock from Rio de Janeiro and percussive universe from Bahia. This time, the rhtymic cells of samba-reggae’s Bahia were recreated with sounds of famous Drum Machine Roland TR808, in addition to the horn sound inspired by the aesthetics of 90s (created with also famous JV1080). And his characteristic acoustic guitar was replaced by the electric guitar.

The song, that repeats like a mantra, was composed in a shor subway ride. Its lyrics are a warning against the misuse of language and tongue (gossip, backbiting, bad words); and a call to say “deep truths of Being”.

All the production was done by Arthur Martins.
